International Network for Sociocultural Psychologies in the Anthropocene (INSPA)
The International Network for Sociocultural Psychologies in the Anthropocene (INSPA) is a new collaborative space within Cultural Praxis dedicated to exploring how psychology, education, and biological/sociocultural life are being reshaped in an era of profound ecological transformation. Emerging from the 2025 international symposium Sociocultural Psychology and Education in the Era of the Anthropocene—hosted at the University of Neuchâtel and supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation—the network continues the dialogue sparked by researchers working on climate transformations, decoloniality, climate justice, sustainability, interspecies relations, posthumanism, and more-than-human relations. Our aim is to foster ongoing international and intergenerational exchange, share cutting-edge research, and support collaborative work on the cultural, educational, and relational challenges of living within planetary boundaries. The network welcomes scholars, practitioners, researchers, and students across related fields of research seeking to rethink sociocultural psychology in the era of the Anthropocene, and to imagine more sustainable, just, and livable futures together.
