December 2022 achieved Doctoral status at age 75 - graduated from University of Cape Town PhD applying CHAT to analyse the implementation of skills development for the informal construction sector.
Decades of work in generalist human resource management to Director level - mainly specialising in industrial relations & labour law in unionised manufacturing environments, until the implementation of skills development in 2000. Thereafter, specialising in skills development implementation - in conjunction with employment equity implementation for medium to large employers.
Now associated with UCT as visiting academic researcher - looking at expanding upon thesis - linking the implementation of basic education with skills development and the labour market.  Tracing the pernicious & persistent impact of historical legacy of colonialism & apartheid.
