Edward Rivero is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Learning Policy Institute. Edward is a learning scientist whose dissertation research examined youth agency and ingenuity in online gaming ecologies. Specifically, Edward’s work positions youth of color’s play as a critical site of inquiry for understanding the digital literacies, relational, and sociopolitical dimensions of learning that these youth engage in their everyday lives.
Rivero holds a Ph.D. in the Learning Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley. He also received an M.Ed. in school counseling from Boston University and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
